Day 2 - Plyocide

If you’ve done P90X, you’ll quickly notice that P90X2 is VERY different.

One of the hardest workouts in the first version was Plyometrics. In P90X2, they take this process of “trying to leave the planet for an hour” to a whole new level.

Right off the bat, the whole process of warming up is different and much more intentional. There is stretching, foam-rolling, and some moves to get you ready to jump. I like how much time Tony gives at both the front and back end of the workout to care for those muscles that you’re tearing up (in a good way).

I was able to do every move but wasn’t able to do all of the reps that the folks on the video did (of course, they’re graduates of the program!).

Once again, this first week is all about learning the exercises. It’s about trying to create good form. I came away from plyocide (sounds like suicide and genocide for a reason) very sweaty and with my leg muscles on fire. So glad I have a great recovery drink.
